PromptShield (the "Service") is operated by Klay, an independent solo developer based in Hangzhou, China. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

  • Email address — when you subscribe to prompt updates via the homepage form.
  • Payment information — when you purchase Lifetime access, payment is processed by our third-party provider Creem.io. We do not store your card number; we only receive a transaction confirmation.
  • Anonymous browsing data — basic analytics (page views, referrer) may be collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Send you new prompt templates and product updates (only if you subscribed).
  • Process and confirm your purchase.
  • Provide customer support when you contact us.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on these vetted third parties; each has its own privacy policy:

  • Vercel — website hosting (policy)
  • Creem.io — payment processing (policy)

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. The Service uses your browser's localStorage only to remember whether you have subscribed to email updates on this device. This data never leaves your browser.

6. Data Retention

We keep your subscription email until you request deletion. Payment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 5-7 years).
